IHIT Participates in Health IT Day at the Capitol


January 23, 2024, Atlanta, GA — The Institute for Healthcare IT (IHIT), Georgia HIMSS and TAG Digital Health teamed up to host Health IT Day at the Capitol 2024. The IHIT Report "Addressing Georgia's Type 2 Diabetes Challenge" was presented to legislators in a morning coffee event at the capitol followed by a discussion on legislative, social and technological issues impacting Georgia's rural and urban healthcare delivery ecosystem.

Early evening, the presentation, "Remote Care in Rural Settings: Responses to the Diabetes Epidemic," focused discussion on: Fostering the Future of Care Using Technology Advancements to Target Chronic Disease (Use Case Focus on Diabetes in Georgia).
